  1. Log in to your WordPress website and go to Plugins in the left menu. Install the Gravity Forms plugin and the Gravity Forms Webhooks Add-On and activate both plugins.
  2. Go to Forms in the left menu and click Add New.
  3. Give the form a clear name and add at least an email field.
  4. Optionally adjust the button text, save the form, and place it on the desired page.

Email addressemailYes
First namefirst_nameNo
Last namelast_nameNo

Connecting your Gravity Forms form to Xendy

  1. Log in to Xendy and go to All contacts via the left menu. Click New segment in the top right.
  2. Choose Manual, click Next, give the segment a title, and click Create segment.
  3. Open the segment, click Add contacts in the top right, and choose Via a webhook. A pop-up will appear with sample code containing the webhook URL and your Authorization: Bearer token. Note: adding contacts via a webhook is only available with a PRO subscription.
  4. In WordPress, go to Forms, choose the correct form, go to Settings, and then to Webhooks.
  5. Add a new webhook. Paste the URL and add the Authorization value under Headers. Paste the full value including Bearer, for example Bearer abc123.
  6. Click Save.

Testing the connection

  1. Go to the page on your website where the form is placed.
  2. Fill out the form with a test email address (for example your own address).
  3. Log in to Xendy, go to All contacts, and open the segment you created. Check whether the email address appears in the list.

Adding extra fields

The email field is always required. For extra fields, use the following field names:

  • First name: first_name
  • Last name: last_name
  • Other fields: you can name these yourself

Extra fields are automatically added in Xendy and can then be used in segments or for personalization.
